Coll had her appointment with Dr Lal on Tuesday,he was very happy with her progress. The blood test marker came down by 100 points and the ct scan showed an improvement. He thinks that he might increase the kemo by another 9 weeks when this round ends on the 23 rd November. She is working hard to get her strength back and is coming into work for about an hour a day.Staying at home is driving her crazy. She is due for her 3 treatment this coming Tuesday.

September 14
Great day today, met with Dr Lal today he was extremely happy with what he saw today the swelling in Colls tummy has gone and she is able to eat solids now and keep 3 meals a day down, all her blood work is looking very good so he decided to take her off the IV feeding (TPN).This will allow her to live a normal life again. We have not got the results from the CT scan but he does not think their will be any thing to worry about as everything else is so positive.
Coll will have Kemo next week Tuesday the treatment will remain the same and she will be given a new medication for nausea so she does not land back in the ER like last time.
Thank you all for all your prayers we do believe that they are working.

After surgery the surgeon informed us that their was nothing that he could do to help Col's situation, our best chance of fighting this would be with Kemo.Coll got her Port during the surgery and is now able to get feed Via her Port, she started with feeding on the 6th and this has help tremendously.Dr Lul started kemo on the 10th of August.Col came Home on the 12th and we have battled to get her Pain and nausea under control, the home IV feeding has also taken its toll Yesterday was her best day since all this started 5 weeks ago,she has had an even better day today.I think that we are finally getting all the home meds under control. She is due to meet with the surgeon on Tuesday and the oncologist on Wednesday.

1st update
As you all know Coll was diagnosed with cancer last week.We are establishing this blog to keep every one up to speed with her recovery process.I will be adding information to this blog when ever we get results or their is anything to report. Please excuse and spelling errors and medical term as this is not my strong suit.
I will try to bring you up to speed of what has happened over the last Month.
Coll got sick about 3 weeks ago with a tummy cold.she went to see the doctor who prescribed antibiotics. Her tummy cramps continued for about a week and she was unable to hold down any food or liquids. We the landed up in urgent care about to weeks ago on a Saturday night. The gave her pain killers and more antibiotics and sent her home.On the Monday we made an appointment to see Dr Minas a endocrinologist whom Coll has worked for.Coll was scheduled for a colonoscopy and some other related test that Saturday. We patiently waited till Saturday coll unable to get any food down and very little liquid.
The test reveled some abnormalities and some blood test were sent away.On the Wednesday Coll was informed by Dr Minas of the presence of cancer.Dr Minas had Colleen under go a procedure to eliminate the pooling of liquid in her abdomen (Called assetes) They removed about 3750 ml of fluid and sent it away for test.By the Monday morning coll was in a bad way still unable to eat or drink for about two weeks.I went to see Dr Minas and insisted the he hospitalize her and get liquids in by IV drip.Dr Minas seeing the severity of the situation arranged for her to get into hospital via Dr Lul a oncologist and arranged for the results of the previous test to be rush tru.The test revealed what the doctors call terminal cancer which we now now has a different meaning.Cancer was present in the tummy and they have no idea where it was coming from.
Today after Dr Lul had received all the results we found out that the Cancer is in the tummy and is present in the tummy fluid and is in no particular place but is present all over that area.
Tomorrow Coll will under go an laproscopy and if the surgeon needs to go deeper they will cut in order to relieve the blockage in coll tummy and any cancer tumors they might find.
After that coll will need to recuperate for about a month and then will start with Kemo.
Dr LUL is hopeful for Coll because she is young and all her vital organs are in good shape and feels she will respond well to Kemo. When Coll responds to the kemo it will take about 4 to 6 months for a recovery to good health .This is what they call terminal cancer she can go into remission but will live with cancer and need to be screened often but their is no reason why Coll can not live a full and happy life
Thus the family have formed TEAM COLLEEN and we know that all our dear friends and family will be on the team with us fighting this fight.
